How are the classes held?
A Kundalini Yoga class consists of several stages:
- Tuning in
At this stage, we are tuning in to the wave of Kundalini energy which is responsible for the movement and growth of a person. We, all together, with the help of special sound vibrations, are creating a special field. This seems like to connection to an electrical circuit. In Kundalini Yoga it is called the gold chain. All practitioners are connected to this single chain of Kundalini, and the current begins to flow evenly to each of us.
Several dynamic warm-up exercises from the arsenal of Kundalini Yoga warm up and prepare the body to carrying out a core set of exercises.
Kriya in Kundalini yoga is a complex of exercises to be carried out in strict order, which includes yoga postures, a certain pattern of breathing and mudras. Kriya is the core of a class in Kundalini Yoga and always has a specific purpose, such as kriya for the endocrine system, kriya for the nervous system etc.
At this stage the healing energy accumulated during the practice of kriya is being evenly distributed through the body. This is a very important stage and it should not be skipped for any reason. At this stage the energetic food is digested and assimilated. If you skip the phase of relaxation, it is the same as when you bite off a piece of cake and swallow it without chewing. You can choke
At this stage we learn to meditate or rather to relax because it is impossible to learn meditation, it happens by itself, spontaneously, when a person is totally relaxed. But you can learn to relax through breathing!
